Project Waithala
The Leo Club of Wickramasinghapura, in collaboration with the Leo Club of University of Moratuwa,
proudly executed the Waithala Project on 1st February at Wadupola Primary School, Kegalle.
This initiative was designed to provide underprivileged students with both educational and creative support.
As part of the project, we donated musical instruments, books, and a cupboard, and successfully implemented
a school musical band to encourage teamwork, self-expression, and a love for music among the students.
The Waithala Project reflects our belief that education goes beyond textbooks nurturing creativity, confidence,
and practical skills is equally important for holistic development.

Project Step to Success 7.0-පහ සමත්
The Leo Club of Wickramasinghapura, in collaboration with the Leo Club of Raththanapitiya, proudly
completed the Step to Success 7.0 - පහ සමත් on 1st February at Wadupola Primary School, Kegalle,
positively impacting 60 underprivileged students.
This initiative was carried out with the aim of supporting the educational development and overall
well-being of children through meaningful assistance and collective effort. From planning to execution,
the project reflected strong teamwork, effective coordination, and a shared commitment to community service.

Project Sahurda Dayada 5.2
The Leo Club of Wickramasinghapura proudly conducted the Sahurada Dayada 5.2 project on 1st February at Wadupola
Primary School, Kegalle.
As part of this initiative, we organized an awareness session on nutrition, led by a professional Dr. Dinusha Egodage
for parents, and teachers. The session focused on promoting healthy dietary habits, understanding nutritional needs,
and fostering a culture of wellness within the school community.
Sahurada Dayada 5.2 reflects our commitment to holistic child development addressing not only education but also health
and well-being. By engaging parents and teachers together, we aimed to create a lasting impact and equip the school
community with knowledge to support healthier lifestyles.

Diriya Diwimaga 3.2
we successfully carried out Diriya Diwimaga 3.2 at the Blind School, Rathmalana.
marking another meaningful step in our journey of service and compassion.
This initiative, organized as a joint project between the
Leo Club of Wickramasinghepura and the Leo Club of Athugalpura,
focused on addressing period poverty and promoting menstrual hygiene,
with special attention given to supporting the blind and deaf community in our society.
This achievement would not have been possible without the dedication of our organizing committees,
the generosity of our sponsors and donors.
Together, we turned compassion into action and made a lasting impact.

Leo Genesis 1.2
We successfully concluded Leo Genesis 1.2, an online initiative aimed
at empowering young leaders in the Leo community.
The sessions were conducted via Google Meet with our amazing
Leo Nisal Dulmith (8th Feb),
shared insights on the Leo Constitution and
Leo Lion Ravindi Hettiarachchi PFLM (21st Feb),
inspired us with a session on Leadership and Service.
A heartfelt thank you to both speakers and all participants
for making these sessions impactful and meaningful.

Terra Thrive 2.2
we successfully completed Terra Thrive 2.2 at Kottawa Bus Stand
as part of our ongoing commitment to environmental responsibility
and community impact.
During this initiative, we donated dustbins to support proper waste management
and carried out a clean-up of the surrounding area to promote a cleaner public space.
We are grateful to everyone who contributed to making this initiative a meaningful
success and look forward to continuing sustainable efforts in the future.

Kottawa Bus Stand
Project Drugs Kill – Phase 01
Project “Drugs Kill – Phase 01” was successfully conducted on 14th February 2026 at the Senehasa Rehabilitation Center,
Piliyandala with the aim of supporting individuals undergoing rehabilitation from drug addiction.
The initiative focused on providing emotional encouragement, motivation, and social support to residents
who are actively working towards rebuilding their lives.
A professional counseling session was conducted by an experienced counselor attached to the National Dangerous Drugs Control Board (NDDCB).
The session helped participants understand the harmful effects of substance abuse and encouraged them to remain committed to their recovery journey.
In addition to the counseling session, several art therapy and interactive activities were organized to promote emotional expression, confidence, and positive engagement among the participants.
Conducting the project on 14th February, a day symbolizing love and compassion, carried a meaningful message that individuals in rehabilitation
are not forgotten but supported by the community in their journey toward a healthier, drug-free future.
